The University of Bosaso Garowe (UOBG), founded in 2012, is a leading private university in Somalia known for quality education and innovation. It has six faculties and partnerships with universities like KIU, Makerere, and Mount Kenya University.
In 2018, UOBG launched CIER to promote innovation and entrepreneurship, later restructured into CADIR — the Centre for Applied Development, Innovation and Research.CADIR connects academia, innovation, and community development, focusing on applied research and practical solutions that support Somalia’s recovery and sustainable growth.
