About Mr. Mohamud Mohamed Mohamud

Mr. Mohamud Mohamed Mohamud is a sennior researcher, Monitoring and Evaluation (M&E) expert, and development practitioner with strong experience in program design, implementation, and evidence-based decision-making. He currently serves as the Director of the Centre for Applied Development, Innovation and Research (CADIR) at the University of Bosaso Garowe, where he leads applied research, innovation initiatives, and capacity-building programs that address Somalia’s governance, peacebuilding, and development challenges.

Personal Experiences

Mohamud is a candidate for Ph.D. candidate in Peace, Governance, and Development at the University for Peace and holds an MA in the same field. His multi-sectoral expertise spans governance, peacebuilding, livelihoods, education, and gender mainstreaming. He has successfully designed MEL systems, conducted high-impact assessments, and delivered research studies for leading development partners, including FAO, ILO/JPLG, and UNCDF.

In addition to his research leadership, Mohamud serves as Dean of the Faculty of Social Science, where he has supervised more than 150 undergraduate research projects, strengthening academic quality and research excellence. Recognized for his analytical capability, cultural insight, and innovative thinking, Mohamud is dedicated to fostering collaboration across academia, civil society, and government institutions. His work contributes to shaping sustainable development pathways and advancing data-driven policies in Somalia.
