Empowering the Next Generation of Somali Storytellers
This week, the Centre for Applied Development, Innovation and Research (CADIR) at the University of Bosaso Garowe, in partnership with Ubax Media Lab, hosted a series of information sessions for the Media Accelerator Programme.
Over 180 passionate students from the Faculty of Social Science and faculty science and technology joined the sessions to explore opportunities in digital media, storytelling, and content creation.
The Media Accelerator Programme is designed to nurture creative young minds through mentorship, practical media training, and hands-on experience in digital innovation. Participants from these sessions will compete for 30 exclusive spots in this cohort 1 where selected trainees will embark on an intensive journey to build skills, confidence, and professional media experience.
